Troy Books – Physical Shop

In 2021 we took on our premises a stone’s throw from Penzance’s ‘Holy Headland’ and historic harbour as our new book storage and dispatch office. As it had a little more space than we needed, we decided to open it also as a shop and exhibition space. Visitors will be able to purchase our books at the shop, along with a number of esoteric and magical items which will be expanded over the coming months.

If you would like to visit the shop and the exhibition we will officially be open on the 18th of April. The shop is usually open three days a week when we are dispatching book orders – this is usually Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays – however, to avoid disappointment please email us before visiting to check if we are going to be open on any given day.

The shop is located in a gated courtyard opposite ‘The Dock Inn’ in Penzance by the Isles of Scilly Ferry terminal, the address is:

Recently, we had a small gathering in Penzance, Cornwall, to celebrate the joint launch of the Troy Books dispatch office, shop and exhibition space and Alex Langstone’s Latest Book The Liminal Shore.

Currently, in celebration of The Liminal Shore, we are exhibiting the book’s beautiful original artworks by Paul Atlas-Saunders, all of which are available for sale.

The launch for Alex Langstone’s The Liminal Shore had been postponed due to the Omicron Covid wave, however, the event was a great success and a forerunner to hopefully many more events in the future. Due to Covid, we kept attending numbers low, but we hope, in future, that we will be able to welcome larger numbers.

For those who could not attend, we decided to film the event and release the video. As many of you might be aware, we formed a trio ‘Morvoren’ to perform songs based on some of the invocations in Gemma’s book The Devil’s Dozen. Morvoren performed a number of Cornish folk tunes alongside tunes from our album ‘Music for The Devil’ at the event. For more information about Morvoren and to purchase our album please visit: https://morvorenmusic.com
